Projects

IoT Security Prototype 01

We developed an IoT security prototype with the following sensors:

  • open/closing door (security)

  • motion sensor

  • light sensor

  • water level sensor

CEIS 106 Intro To Operating Systems

In this Project, I demonstrate a series of skills that I learned throughout this course. I show steps I took to understanding Linux OS, and problems faced in the process.

CEIS 110 Introduction to Programming

Throughout this course project, I created a flowchart of how I was going to execute each step of the way. I learned how to download weather data with python from the NOAA. Then how to query the data base with SQL to retrieve data. From there, I cleansed and manipulated the data from the database in python and opened the data in excel. In excel, I was able to analyze that data and create graphical charts to interpret the data.

NETW191 Final Project

In this final project, I will cover each week's project and how they were completed.

I will be demonstrating the following:

•IPv4 Addressing

•Connectivity Test

•IP Subnetting and Loopback interfaces

•Demonstration of Network Diagrams with Visio

•SOHO Wireless Network Security

Ceis 114

•In this project, I will Design and develop a two-way traffic light controller with a pedestrian crossing and an emergency signal. The pedestrian crossing will have an LCD display messages whether the pedestrian can or cannot cross the street. When they can cross, the LCD will count down from ten (10) to zero (0) indicating the amount of time they have to cross. The emergency signal will force red lights to turn on in all directions and the blue light will be flashing. The final step is to secure the system so that it could be controlled remotely via a web browser. The alternative final step is a non-internet connection using a motion sensor to allow traffic to continuously flow on major street and only switches to slow traffic street when motion is detected.

NETW211

Throughout this course project, I will demonstrate various tasks learned over the past 8 weeks in NETW211 such as:

-Virtual Machine Instances

-Virtual Private Cloud

-Azure VM Security

-Cloud Storage

-Cloud Monitoring

I will also be going over career skills learned that will be utilized in both my professional and educational career, as well as challenges that were faced along the way and how I overcame them.

ECT226

Objectives

  • In this final project, I will explore the important op-amp application: active filters.

  •  I will examine how active filters can sift and amplify a selected range of signals from the inputs.

  •  I will add the filter to the output of an audio mixer and observe how it impacts the output.

  • I will also build the band-pass filter and observe its frequency response.

 SEC285

This course Project explores the fundamentals of information security attacks and defense mechanisms. Security issues related to people, data, networks, and devices are surveyed to provide insight into designing security solutions and policies. Technologies and practices that support the security principles of confidentiality, integrity, and availability are also discussed.

PHYS204

•This course project is based on the scientific method and is divided into six parts. Each deliverable builds from the previous resulting in a full scientific experiment. The project's development process includes critical thinking, hardware setup, programming, and data analysis. It will encompass several aspects of the IoT and prepare you for your future career in technology. All parts used throughout this project are directly from the DeVry Tech Kit.
